The SlabArmor™ Concrete Finishing System is a two-step process that enables you to:
SlabArmor™ Starter penetrates the cap up to 27mm while SlabArmor™ Closer cross-links with Starter up to a depth of 13mm resulting a denser, more abrasion resistant floor.
Ideal applications Include industrial flatwork, residential construction and big box projects.
SlabArmor™ Starter extends material life by closing capillaries within the slab eliminating transmission of water and vapor which leads to mold and bacteria. It acts as a finishing aid, holding water in for weeks if not months on end. It is invisible to the eye and almost impossible to apply incorrectly.
SlabArmor™ Closer dust proofs and hardens concrete in a single application. The low pH qaulities provide better hardening characteristics and an attractive, longer lasting finish ideal for warehouses, distribution centers and retail stores.

Using power trowels, this nano-sized technology creates a 27mm barrier allowing only 3% of the water to evaporate which ultimately eliminates volume loss cracking and curling. It acts as a finishing aid, holding water in for weeks if not months on end. It is invisible to the eye and almost impossible to apply incorrectly.
Exceedingly high and stable flatness (FF) numbers are a direct result from even hydration throughout the slab which also helps to control the finishing process while maintaining the internal slab moisture.

Denser concrete enhances insulation qualities and improves energy performance.

This spray on, leave on material is a fast acting formula allowing for minimal down time.
It is suitable for use on cementitious-based products and can be used in conjunction with diamond polishing and/or decorative color

The 1st application of SlabArmor™ Starter is sprayed uniformly onto the slab surface at a rate of 1200 ft² per gallon after screed placement. Straightening the surface with a check-rod follows the application.
(Follow industry best practice/procedure to begin the panning/floating process as you would on a standard pour.)
SlabArmor™ Starter is applied three times during the panning/floating process. First, following the initial panning/floating process and second, after the product has been worked completely into the surface using a trowel equipped with float pans. SlabArmor Starter is applied with the rider trowel spray system at the same rate of 1200 ft² per gallon. Thirdly, this process is repeated one more time with the panning trowel.(Follow industry best practice/procedure to begin the panning/floating process as you would on a standard pour.)
The floor is then troweled until the desired level of burnish/finish is achieved.
SlabArmor™ Closer After the finishing has been completed and the trowels have moved off the area ensure you can walk on the surface without marring and then apply SlabArmor™ Closer @ 300 sqft/gal with a HIGH-VOLUME, LOW-PRESSURE, manual or powered commercial grade sprayer. Keep surface wet with SlabArmor™ Closer for 30 minutes. Saw cuts can now be placed in the concrete. After the saw cuts are cleaned out, SlabArmor™ Closer should be applied into the cuts.
Once the SlabArmor™ Closer is absorbed into the concrete, it cross-links with the SlabArmor™ Starter, resulting in a denser, more abrasion resistant floor.
